A strategically located 2-acre commercial property at 190 NW 79th Avenue in Miami-Dade has sold for $10.2 million. Once home to the Midway Roller Skating Rink in the 1970s and later transformed into La Catedral Del Pueblo church in 1988, the site is now poised for a new chapter.

The buyer, Keystone Holdings, a local real estate development firm led by Mike Mouriz and Reinaldo Mouriz, acquired the site with plans for future redevelopment. The transaction included a sale-leaseback agreement, allowing the church to continue operations on the property for up to one year.

Representing the seller was Joshua Kaufman of The Buchbinder Group at Compass, alongside Jose Nicolas at Compass.

“This is a strong number for a commercial property in this submarket,” said Kaufman. “The deal reflects the continued demand for redevelopment sites with flexible zoning and connectivity.”

The site, zoned BU-2 (Business District), lies within a half a mile radius of a Planned Community Urban Center and a SMART Corridor, enabling mixed-use development of up to 15 stories and 255 units. Its proximity to major expressways and the Miami International Airport, along with access to the Miami-Dade SMART rapid transit program, makes it a prime candidate for a mixed-use redevelopment that could include residential, retail, office, or medical components.
