So, your family is here, you've cooked the meal, eaten the meal, cleaned up after the meal.....now what do you do? Besides the usual array of board games, television programs and movie marathons, is there anything else to do during the long weekend? You getting sick of the relatives being in your house? Cabin fever much? We have some ideas to get you (and everyone else) through the weekend alive.
Friday night starting a 6PM, the F.A.T. Friday Trolley hop is going on in Louisville. It is a FUN way to see the Clifton, Crescent Hill and Butchertown neighborhoods and shop along the way!
We have several fun events happening on the "sunny side". Friday and Saturday, Schimpff's Confectionary will be showing guests how candy cane and ribbon candy are made. Fascinating for all ages, you won't want to miss out!
Several areas are being "lit up" this weekend. Charlestown's "Light Up Charlestown" is taking place on Friday night at 6pm. Christmas tree, parade, a tunnel of lights and MORE are on the docket for Friday. Bundle up and get going!
New Albany's annual "Holiday Fest and Jingle Walk" is this Saturday beginning at 1pm. Scavenger hunts, wine tastings and specials at the downtown shops. Get your Christmas shopping done and support downtown businesses on Small Business Saturday!
After you finish in New Albany, head over to "Light Up Jeffersonville". Parade begins at 5pm and the Christmas tree will be lit at 5:30pm.
So much to do just on this side of the river...it doesn't even count Louisville! For a comprehensive Louisville events calendar, visit Louisville.com. For suggestions on where to take certain members of your family (kids, eccentric aunt, "beer expert" Grandpa), click HERE.
