As an office manager or broker with a lot of agents, you are constantly challenged with PR for your listings and sales people. Sellers all want to know what you are doing to promote their home. Most sellers think their home is "special" and deserves an article placed in the local newspaper or it could be your agent thinks it is my turn to have an article written. Whichever it is, it's a real conundrum.
You are faced with an advertising budget and it is not getting any bigger. However, the competition doesn't seem to be backing off. And now your agents are mumbling that they may jump ship and go to the dark side - the competition!
The agents think they'll get more listings and more personal articles and therefore they will sell more at the competition. You know (you hope) that is wrong, but a budget is a budget. Your recycled pep talks have worn thin and now you're even dodging those agents who are your very life blood.
A glass of wine helps, but it is temporary.
Try this - Have your agents post listing articles to Realty Times - Free - It will get their sellers off their back and the articles will garner a lot more exposure than that home on the listing sites. For each article a Realtor submits, the sellers will be emailed an alert about the article and how much traffic it's received. All of the agents contact info, photo and bio are included on each article --- now both seller and agent happy! Your agent will praise you for informing them of this great, FREE, service (and for being in the know about it!)
But there is more. Agents can also post advice articles on the Realty Times "advice from agents" section. This feature will make them look like the expert. Again, all of their contact information is on each article and they will get email alerts as to how many viewers they've had per article!.....that's one thing you can't get from newspapers!
Be the hero! Be the manager who is touch with new technology available to them. Let your agents know that you have found this incredible vehicle that will get them personal exposure, listing exposure and make them look like an expert in their field! It doesn't cost a dime and they'll love you for it!
