B. boilers

C. solar heating

D. heat pumps

E. electric heating

F. space heaters

Types of Heating Methods

Furnace heaters heat up slowly and gradually. However they are considered to be very safe and reliable. The heat travels through the home through air ducts. A blower motor is used to push the heat through the ducts. Boiler heat is method in which the water is heated until it is steam. You can count on the temperature in the entire home remaining nice and warm without any interruptions. Types of Heating Methods.

With the boiler heating method once the water has been turned to steam it moves along through various ducts. A pump is used to push the water through the pipes to the radiators. The water is then returned to the water heater to be reheated. This is an effective heating method that is used in millions of homes every winter. Electric heating is the method in which electricity is transformed into heat. All of these types of heating methods can use propane as fuel except for the solar heating and the electric heating. heat pumps utilize geothermal energy and electricity, while the electric method only uses electricity.

What is a Propane Heater?

A propane space heater is a heater that uses propane gas. The device is usually portable. It is not stationary. It can be used to heat small or large rooms. When using a space heater that uses propane it is important that the area is well ventilated. The reason for this is because the use of propane reduces the amount of carbon dioxide in the air. For this reason proper ventilation is necessary. Also when using space heaters that use propane be sure that there is ample space between the heater and furniture, curtains etc.

Types of Propane Heaters

Due to the fact that propane heaters require ventilation they are perfect for outdoor use. However, using them for indoor use if perfectly fine as long as the device is equipped with an ODS. An ODS is an oxygen depletion sensor. This enables the device to automatically turn off when the oxygen in the room is dipping to a level that is too low. Types of Propane Heaters Some space heaters that use propane have up to 5 different settings.

Others are designed to for the heater to operate only on high. The excellent thing about these types of heaters are that they vary greatly in size. Some come very small and compact which is excellent for constant movement, others come a little larger. Since there's no need for electrical hook-ups this type of heater is super convenient and perfect for travel.

Space heaters can generally save a home money. However, if the entire home needs to be heated it may be best to find another heating method. Otherwise you've have 5-6 space heaters sitting around. However, if the area is just needs a little warming in an area that is insulated it may be worth the while. Pros and Cons of Space Heaters. Also many times furnaces and boilers can take a while to heat up. That's not so with space heaters.

Space heaters warm up super fast, within its general perimeter. So, it depends on the size of the area. Plus space heaters are generally portable, so if the heat needs to be concentrated in one area, with a space heater that's definitely possible. They are built for convenience and portability.
