1. Always do a maintenance check.
We can prevent things to happen if we will constantly check the status of every corner of our house. For instance, your windows will never be stuck if you managed to open and close it at least once a day, or if you have just sprayed some oil on it to prevent its hinges from rusting. Your pipes will never have an issue if you have just checked on it every day or at least observe it once you use the sink to brush your teeth and wash your face. Also, your wall will never be vandalized by anyone if you have just watched over the kids and visitors to your lovely home.
The point here is the importance of maintenance. Knowing the status of your stuff at home will keep you updated on what to replace, what to clean, and what to repair and improve. If you always look after your house, then you have just saved money, time and other resources that will cost you if you would hire someone to fix it all for you.

To get these large branches, check on the trunk of the dead tree and get into the center of all the branches. Always focus and hit the dead tree on these parts. This is the most efficient way to get enough fatwoods and good lumber without getting too exhausted.
• Locate the knots of the branches and segregate it. Tree knots can be processed to produce more good quality fatwoods and good lumber.
• Separate the rotten wood after getting the tree knots through your hatchet. After getting the tree knots, removing the rotten wood to avoid having the rest of the good wood from rotting. After trimming your collected woods, you are now down to good quality fatwoods, and good lumber.
• Clean your collected fatwoods and make sure that you have prepared good housing storage for it. Trim it in size you prefer and need for your desired furniture. In the case that you have spare fatwoods and good lumber, keep it for future use. Make variations as your trim the fatwoods so you can further split it down in case a situation arises.
