Making this year's CNNMoney's list of "Best Places to Live," is Lake Oswego, Oregon, part the Portland metro area.

Appreciation rates have risen just 3.7 percent in the last year, bringing average prices to around $558,000 at this time. And homes are moving off the market fairly quickly -- at 61 days on average.

Job growth is around 11 percent and median family household is being reported at $109,000.

Despite steady growth in the economic sector -- new listings are down 2.3 percent -- great news for sellers who should be finding less competition coming into the market.
