Market Conditions: Sisters, Oregon

Written by Posted On Sunday, 09 December 2007 16:00

Sisters, Oregon, is a buyers market!

What's causing this healthy buying season?

Local real estate expert and Realtor, Rad Dyer, reports that median home prices have taken a dip from year ago numbers. They are currently near $395,000 -- down around $12,000 from last year.

And when you consider the 2002 median was a fraction of that -- at $132,000 -- its easy to see why.

Rad predicts that "the next 12 months may continue to see softening prices if sales volume slows and the inventory continues to build. This condition is creating a great opportunity for buyers. Selection is the best seen in years," causing a lot of seller competition.

While inventory may be high, a strong economy should mean a strong real estate climate in 2008.
