Market Conditions: Sevierville, Tennessee

Written by Posted On Tuesday, 29 January 2008 16:00

Realtors Autumn and David Hackney of Sevierville, Tennessee, report that the area offers a hometown atmosphere combined with plenty of shopping, attractions and mountain history. Most residents who are employed in the tourism industry in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg call Sevierville home.

The current market is favoring buyers -- with a high level of inventory outpacing demand.

Autumn and David also report that the area is experiencing large commercial growth. Recent changes in county zoning have created a lower supply of high demand commercially zoned property. And sales of commercial property have increased dramatically since last year.

In the Sevierville area, 65 single family homes sold from October 1st through December 31st, 2007, with average sales price of $206,000.
