Here we are, the first full workday in 2025 for most of us. Yes, many won’t be back until the 6th, but that is exactly why I share the thoughts about what we do and don’t control!

Today you got up and chose to be ready for work. You chose to read or watch this post. At the same time, many others have made the choice NOT to work today; or not to read or watch this post; and have elected to give you four free days to gather opportunities and relationships that they are taking a pass on.

Just like every other aspect of our business, it’s all about the choices we make and when we choose to make them. Did you choose to work on your business plan for 2025 back in October so you could learn, schedule, and implement the changes you were going to make in 2025? Did you choose to start 2025 on Thursday the 2nd, or on Monday the 6th? Are you going to choose to schedule your work and your activities daily, so you never fall short of sustaining productive and positive momentum? Are you always going to lead your connection with people with a personal phone call rather than a text or an email? Are you always going to connect with all the potential referral partners and opportunities found in each interaction going forward and schedule your next follow-up call as soon as you complete each conversation? 

I know that by doing these simple things daily consistently over time will help you grow your business and improve your conversion percentage, as well as improving the quality of the client experience. Why wouldn’t you simply make the choice to just do these things?

People succeed or fail for only one of two reasons; they either didn’t know what they were supposed to do, or they just simply chose not to do it! Well, now you know what you should be doing; it’s your choice to either control your situation or to allow things just to happen as they may?
