Mr. Powell, P.E. holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural/geotechnical design and analysis. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida, Texas, and North Carolina. He is also a Certified Professional Inspector, and Florida Licensed Home Inspector. 

Mr. Powellʼs professional experience includes over 20 years of investigating the cause and origin of failure for attorneys, insurance companies, and home/facility owners. He has conducted property investigations on residential and commercial/industrial structures, including building settlement, roof damage, moisture intrusion, flooring damage (tile, wood, etc.), pool failures, and storm-related damage. He has performed structural assessments of distressed and damaged buildings and evaluated the plumbing systems (supply and waste) for breaches, adequacy of installation and has designed remedial efforts required. His professional skills also include geotechnical investigations and structural analysis. He has investigated root-cause of failure, such as construction defects and provided analysis comparing in-place construction to industry best practices or Building Codes. 

Mr. Powell has prepared calculations for structural, and geotechnical analysis and design, prepared construction plans, technical specifications and bid documents, inspected the shop fabrication, and monitored in-place construction of structural concrete and steel components. Mr. Powell has prepared construction plans, technical specifications, and bid documents, as well as provided engineering consultations and deposition/trial testimony for matters in litigation.
